High quality logistics is ready to the challenge of innovation

Expansion, Innovation, Technology. On these three routes Lotras represented the Italianness at the Transport Logistic 2017 Fair, the two-year event that took place in Munich from 9 to 12 May.

Together with a business developed in the Emilia Romagna Region with the Lotras System, the Company has represented towards the transports operators the necessity to develop and enlarge the “Italian System”, bringing its own experience not only in the field of the conventional transportation system, as the leading European company in the transportation of liquid foodstuffs, but also in the field of the intermodal transportation.

During the Trade Fair, Lotras presented the executive project for the implementation of the Integrated Logistics Platform of the Asi area of Foggia Incoronata, which can already count on the existing terminal and the creation of new modalities of traffic management and of road-rail interchange, thanks to the digitalization of business processes. That is a strategic platform for the consolidation and the development of the whole territory, which is likely to be functional to the major industrial areas, as well as an inner harbour, strategic link to the southern ports for the development of further related activities.

"The Company's reference market," reported the Sole Administrator of Lotras, Armando de Girolamo, talking to some foreign press journalists at the Messe Munich’s exhibition center, "is more and more expanding itself, making it necessary a continuous dialogue with other ways of transportation that may be helpful to small and medium enterprises, strategic for a gradual and rational expansion".

“Our priority” - concluded de Girolamo, alongside the visit of the CEO of Italian Railways Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane (FS), Renato Mazzoncini at the Lotras stand - "is to satisfy an increasingly demanding and precise clientele in terms of costs for the service offered and for the environmental sustainability, essential elements for the intermodal transportation of goods from the Adriatic and Tyrrhenian rivers that connect the South of Italy with all the major markets of the old continent."

This year's edition of Munich’s event has registered an increment of the attendants, with more than 2,100 exhibitors from 62 countries and more than 50,000 specialized visitors.

Over the next few days, Lotras will participate at several interregional tables with different Institutions, associations and enterprises, focused on the sharing of the logistics investment programs within the areas where the Company operates. The first meeting is scheduled to be held in Taranto very soon.
