How to relaunch Apulian Logistics

This morning Lotras Sole Administrator, Mr Armando de Girolamo, as Coordinator of the Logistic Technical Group of Confindustria Puglia, attended the debate-meeting on logistics in Apulia held in Bari, promoted by the Assessor for the Economic development of Apulia Region, Mr Cosimo Borracino. Mr De Girolamo, highlighted in particular the necessity to review and update the Apulian District Logistics, after ten years from its establishment, taking into account the new national and international backgrounds.

We need also to give help immediately and impartially, to public and private investments by considering the effective territorial economic vocations, and also the results achieved objectively in the different regional backgrounds. This is to make Apulia Region an efficient outpost for the most extended logistic platform in Italy compared to three big markets of the North Europe, Balkans and Mediterranean Southern coast.

This is also to consider the process of reorganisation happened for the Apulian ports, Mr De Girolamo said at the end. During the meeting there were, among the most important figures, the President of the Port System Authority of Ionian Sea, Mr Sergio Prete, the general Secretary of the Port system Authority of Southern Adriatic Sea, Mr Tito Vespasiani, the President of the Logistic District, Mr Giovanni Puglisi, the President of Higher Technical Institute for the Logistics, Mr Silvio Busico, Mr Roberto Palumbo for the Local Public transport Section and great projects of Apulia Region. There were also Representatives of Sectorial associations, trade unions organisations and academies.
