The framework agreement between the Italian Railway Network (RFI) and Lotras for the development of railway freight will be shown in Forlimpopoli (FC)  Friday, January 22 beginning at 16.30 at Casa Artusi.

The agreement between RFI and Lotras, group leader in integrated multimodal logistics, is a tool for planning the development of railway freight and an opportunity for consolidating and reviving the economy of the territory . 

The meeting - organized by RFI, Lotras and Trenitalia - was organized with the institutional patronage of the local authority of Forlì, local authority of Forlimpopoli, Province of Forlì Cesena, Region of Emilia Romagna and the Chamber of Commerce of Forlì-Cesena, as well as with the technical support of Lotras System .

The work program will include inaugural greetings from: Mauro Grandini, Mayor of Forlimpopoli; Davide Drei, Mayor of Forlì and President of the Province of Forlì Cesena; Paolo Zoffoli, Councilman of the Region Emilia Romagna; Alberto Zambianchi, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Forlì - Cesena. Then will follow the interventions of Armando de Girolamo, the Sole Administrator of the company Lotras; Mario Castaldo, Director Trenitalia Cargo Division; Guido Gazzola, President Assofer; Raffaele Donini, Transport Minister Emilia Romagna; Maurizio Gentile, delegated Director of RFI; Federico Lovadina, Councilor of Director FSI Group.

The work which is coordinated by the honorable Marco Di Maio, the Constitutional Affairs Committee, of the Chairmanship of the Council of Ministers, will be concluded by the honorable Luca Lotti, Subsecretary at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

Thanks to the investments of the two partners, the agreement RFI - Lotras – prima father of its kind in Italy, will enable to quadruple the production capacity of the Terminal of Villa Selva in a strategic area for the development and implementation of industrial areas, spurring significantly the movement of goods along the Adriatic and European lane. 

The agreement, strongly shared by the territory, is also an important public-private synergy available to the enterprise system, to achieve greater trade competitiveness, through an offering of qualified services of goods transport in tune with the international objectives of environment protection.
