It 'was awarded to the Lotras the Awards ITALY - Italian Terminal and Logistic, established to highlight both in Italy and abroad, the ability of the Italian terminal port, intermodal and logistics, recognizing their leadership qualities and strategic importance for the 'national economy.
The initiative, organized under the patronage of Assiterminal and ASSOPORTI and thanks to the technical coordination of Ship2Shore, was held on October 1 last year in Piacenza as part of the 5th edition of the GIS-Italian days of lifting and Transports, specialized exhibition organized with the support of about 50 associations and national institutions, to which it recently added the support of the Ministry of Economic Development.
Italy, of course, for its geography has a large number of port terminals and intermodal whose efficiency is obviously related to machinery, equipment and the technological devices that operate in these structures.
And in the grounds of the transfer from Awards Itala we can read with the contributions of Lotras, Italy, from the South and valuing the entire span of the Adriatic coast with more logistics platforms, is today an appointment for active part of a logistics and transport terms of excellence and from Europe on the many cross-border corridors, concrete and real interpreter of a policy of growth and development of the rail freight sector in a modern economy. This development model has become an international case study, which point of reference and connection of the Mediterranean, the Middle East to Europe.
During the ceremony it was also illustrated the mission of Lotras and its experience in the management of logistics platforms, noting that during 2015 has implemented its assets in Emilia Romagna constituting Lotras System, hub manager of over 30.000 square meters of warehouses through which - together with the international network of tracks and rail terminals - provides to the productive and commercial answers efficient, timely and environmentally sustainable transport, storage and distribution. www.italawards.it
