In receiving the important recognition, the CEO of Lotras, Armando de Girolamo, recalled that "the economic solidity of the company made it possible to accompany an important corporate operation for the confirmation of three essential objectives in the company strategy. The European dimension, first of all, so that Lotras, among the pioneer companies in rail freight transport, was framed in a broader context of commercial relations and infrastructural facilities as an all-round international player, in the awareness that the domestic market is now the continental one in which it is necessary to respond effectively and quickly to an increasingly complex and mature demand for services and to optimize costs, which an attentive clientele seeks punctually, a circumstance that only partnerships projected outside national borders can ensure ”.

“The second objective” – added Armando de Girolamo – “was and is the investment in human resources in a perspective that tends to concretely favor a generational change and strengthen the wealth of skills and professionalism, so much so that currently the the average age of the employees is 43 years and we intend to build future capabilities for young managers eager to invest in professionalism in our area".
“The third and no less important dimension is the continuity of Lotras' commitment - real and daily - towards environmental sustainability, for an increasingly contained and respectful "carbon footprint" so that the added value produced and transferred to the territory is increasingly significant than what our activity can take away from the environment and natural resources".

“This is why” – concluded the CEO of Lotras – “the dimensional evolution implemented through the integration and correlation of Lotras with a larger group, will have to enhance every virtuous and competitive synergy between know-how and matrices cultures of different and integrated realities of the rail freight transport production chain".
